The arts education I received in school is an integral part of who I am. Without an introduction to art in grade school, the well rounded arts programs at my public high school, and dedicated and knowledgeable fine art and theater teachers, I may never have found my skills with moving pictures and I would not be where I am today. Most videos posted to social media and YouTube are created in hopes of “going viral.” The term has become a cliche’, but still the producer’s goal is to capture the imagination of a few people enough that they pass it on and the audience grows because the message is effective. More often, we make videos aimed at a narrower audience; important to a few but not expected to be seen by many. Occasionally however, one of our messages takes on a life of it’s own.
